On January 17th 2013 at 1600Z which is 10:00 am local. We will be switching the CTAF/Unicom Frequency to 122.975. This change is taking place to allow for better communications at the Rochelle Municipal Airport. 122.800 is the most common frequency in the nation and on nice days the chatter is overwhelming. This change is to allow better communication between all aircraft that operate out of and through the Rochelle area. A NOTAM has been published noting this change and will stay in effect until all publications are changed. Also, a note will be up and running on the AWOS frequency 125.20 until completely published. Please pass this information on to all your flying friends. If you have any questions please let me know.
